texmexbigspring Posted December 3, 2008 Share Posted December 3, 2008 I have a dual magnetic ballast that I got from a friend and I cant seem to get it working. When they are hooked up they make noise but only a very small light comes out. I can only see the light if it is really dark. It just seems weird that both ballast are doing this. I only have one socket so am testing both ballast on the same one. (Not at the same time) Could it be the socket? I know the bulb is good, I have three of them and they all worked when they were givin to me. And they all fire the same way. I am just about to give up and buy new ballast but would like to get some opinions first. Is it posible that both the capacitor are out.
