Adding LEDs to a coralife hood

I picked up a nice coralife 48" hood with 2x175W MH and 2x96W actinic PC's from mdavis375 2 weeks ago. The hood works great, but my only complaint is that it doesn't have moonlights.

I found someone on craigslist selling the Current USA Lunar Link LED moonlights (easy to find on marinedepot.com if you want to get an exact idea of what I bought), and I'd like to mount them directly to the inside of the hood on the reflector. The LEDs would be mounted directly onto the reflectors and would be about 2" from the MH bulbs.

My concern is if the plastic housing on the LEDs would withstand the heat of the MH bulbs. The MH bulbs get warm, but not burning hot, so I think I'd be ok, but I'd like to hear if someone else has tried this modification with success?

i have the same thing from the same guy. ha, i added those same led lights to mine, not directly on the reflector, i crazy glued them right next to it, touching the reflectors, they are doing fine. have not tried them directly on to the reflectors though. good luck
