jsr
I know some of you have really nice cameras, and I want one too. Well, maybe not as nice as some but I want to get an DSLR that is good and fairly cheap. I cannot see spending $1000 on a camera at this time. Does anyone have a suggestion on something pretty inexpensive that will allow me to buy additional lenses and such? I would like to stay below $600, if I can. GKarshens
I personally would look at Canon and Nikon. I know they both offer entry level DSLRs in that price range. They have more options when it comes to lenses and they are more easily found used. I would highly recommend going to Precision Camera on Lamar at 38th. Then you can hold and try out both side by side and see which one works best for you. I personally am a Nikon guy, but I have nothing against Canon. Robb in Austin
+1 on Nikon and Precision. Also like Gabriel, nothing against Canon.
princer7
I am a Canon fan but both are great cameras. What it comes down to is how the camera feels in your hands. ditto that, Precision Camera is a great local resource.
