madsalt
That is a moroon clown. There are maroon clown fish and gold strip maroon. They both look the same except the gold strip will have gold in the middle of the white. Based off the pic it looks like a reg maroon clown. Is the one that died bigger or smaller than the one you have left? If it was smaller get one that is about the same size. if it was bigger try to get one that is bigger. Clowns can change their sex, one will become bigger (the female) so it is important to try and one get based off the size you had. The female will become the bigger of the two. Sascha D.
If you want to pair a clown, then always introduce a smaller one. Clowns can change sex from male to female, but can't go in reverse. Females are the largest and getting a small clown will give you the best success. It's possible for you to buy a "smaller" one and end up with two females, but unlikely. That maroon still has a long way to go, so anything 1" or less will be safe.
