LarryD
Ok so I put in my new skimmer yesterday and as this is my first time using a skimmer I could use some help. I know that the skimmers have a break in period before they really start working but mine seems to be doomed to fail, I briefly got a very light coloured skim out of it yesterday day (which I poured back into the tank) but since then all the bubbles have collapsed to the level of the bottom of the cup and the cup itself just fills up with what I can only assume is condensate. Is this a normal step in break in or do I need to fiddle with some of the setting a bit more?
Jimbo662
From the bottom of the skimmer how high does the water come up? What brand is it? Some skimmers you need to set so it overflows for several days to break in. The vertex skimmers can take several weeks to break in.
