Wildman926 Posted October 2, 2014 Share Posted October 2, 2014 I have used their AlgaeFix Marine to get rid of a very nasty hair algae outbreak. My tanks were just full of it, and lost a lot of corals. Massive water changes, biopellet reactors, etc. did not do a thing. This product wiped it out in about 10 days. It attacks the stem of the hair algae, but the algae releases it's spores then. You have to follow through with the maintenance regimen to keep the tanks algae free. I chose to run Algae Turf Scrubbers for long term use instead after the treatment with AlgaeFix. I have not seen any return of any hair algae in the display tank, only the ATS.
