cmanning
Xenia doesn't have a hard skeleton......it's soft all the way thru, and it attaches itself to any surface. Have you seen a fungia.....it has a flat bottom and on top they're rigids, hard stony skeleton, but the flesh is soft, expands and puts out its little feeder tips like this: http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-12/fotm/index.php. This is just for comparison though. Here's some info on acanthastrea: http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2005-08/ebac/index.php Hope this helps. -Cindy-
