jsr
I built a stand for my old Oceanic BC14 that I no longer need. The guts of the stand are made from 2 x 4 pine. I skinned the stand with 1/4 birch. The top and bottom are 3/4 birch. I spray painted the stand using flat black enamel paint. I did not add anything to repel water. I could add some poly if requested. I actually like the dull flat black look. Some things that I am looking for are some live/dry rock (30+ pounds, a good 30g long tank for a sump, a functional refractometer, others. If you would like the stand and don't have anything listed above, shoot me a PM with what you have. Here are a few pictures. You will notice the back is not all painted. I was going to route out that are to mount the ballast and power strip. I can still do that if you would like. Also, the nail holes on top cannot be seen once the tank is on there. That is the only visable nail holes on the stand. James
