Change in flow cause fish to hide?

Title says it all. I moved my nano power head from one side of the tank to the other and all of the fish have been out of sight, hiding in the rocks since the change.

Did a significant water change earlier as well.

It worried me that all the fish went into hiding, so I did a quick test...

Ammonia, nitrite and nitrate are all at 0

Ph is 8.0

SG is at 1.023

Is it normal for fish to hide after a change in current like this?

Normal? Don't know if it is or not but I have one tank that would probably care less, and another that would do like yours did.

So, I'd say that it depends on the inhabitants. Some fish are more skittish than others. My clowns would be like "Dude, where is the food". Dottyback would be gone for a day.. :P

Find out what is keeping your ph so low.

I thought Ph at 8 is ok? From what I have learned, the tank will fluctuate between 7.9-8.4 throughout the day. Please correct if that is wrong.

The test was also taken in the evening and about 1.5 hrs after water change if that matters.
