cmanning
I've decided to sell our male red velvet wrasse (Cirrhilabrus rubrisquamis). He's over 3" in length and very healthy w/a great personality. I'm asking $45...OBO. Here are some links to read on: http://www.vividaquariums.com/10Expand.asp...Code=01-5014-10 http://www.marinedepotlive.com/red-velvet-...h--wrasses.html
Sean
Why are you selling? Just curious b/c I have been considering adding a wrasse to my reef.
cmanning
Why are you selling? Just curious b/c I have been considering adding a wrasse to my reef. Since the bowfront tank has no cover or canopy and he has tried several times to jump.....I'm afraid one day I'll find it on the bar or the floor. The main purpose for us to have it at the time in this particular tank was to control the overpopulated bristle worms. This fish was about 1" when we got it and since we feed the seahorses 3 times a day, he grew fast. I might as well reduce the price as long as I know the person has a cover top or canopy. Sean
Just curious, Will a Wrasse do well if I only feed about 5 to 6 times a week? You mentioned feeding often with the horses...
cmanning
Just curious,Will a Wrasse do well if I only feed about 5 to 6 times a week? You mentioned feeding often with the horses... Oh yeah! Most wrasses will do fine if fed once a day......some may also scavenge for fireworms, pyramidellid snails and other unwanted pests. The only reason this particular wrasse grew fast, is because of the feeding times in the seahorses tank. We are trying to cut back on the fish load and I got another wrasse that jumped into the sump. Got to get her out of there.
