George Monnat Jr
I have a really small, ~1/2" diameter, orange ricordea and a small, 1" diameter, green mushroom that I repositioned two days ago (after a week under the new lights). Yesterday it looked like the ric had fallen off its rock into a crevice between rocks. This morning, the green mushroom is gone from where I placed it. I'm familiar with anemones walking where they like, but do these other corallimorphs do the same? Do I need to move rocks and rescue the orange ric, or can it crawl itself back up? All WYSIWYG
They can and do move around, slowly though. Its a great way to make them reproduce actually, as they walk they leave behind babies. You may need to rescue the ric though, I wouldn't expect it to make its way out anytime soon.
Derek
They are in the same family as anemones. They'll move around. A lot of folks I have seen with free ricordia and mushrooms have put them in hamster balls with rubble rock on the bottom. Once it is attached they do not move too much.
