Pebbles in Livesand

First off, thanks for all the information these boards offer. I am a saltwater n00b and you guys have been invaluable.

I bought a used 29g biocube with about 20 lbs of live sand and 25 lbs of live rock. The tank has been running for two months and all seems well. I am starting to see what looks like pebbles on top of my sand. I have a freshwater tank with a natural pebble substrate (the small inert stuff aquatek sells for $15 for a 50 lb bag) and they look almost identical to those. I don't mind the way they look but I am worried about problems down the road. So, are the pebbles ok to keep in the tank?

I've had a bunch in my tank for 4 years with no issues at all. I have plenty of sand. I say no worries! Unless you decide you don't like the look of course... When I tried to pull some out of my tank, it was pretty easy with a slotted spoon.
