Pailines
Although i dont personally have a BC, i have roomate who had it before. (from bottom to top in the 2nd chamber) "bag of" AC, Purigen, ChemPure then Cheato. And reverse lighting with a fuge light. He swore by this setup(and his tank supports it), that it filters out bio residue(coral toxin), scrub the water for extra clarity and host pods/little critter. Although i cant be 100% with what it's worth, I do believe that it helps with the tank, some-what. But better be safe then sorry
coolreef
cool thanks for the advise, i did notice my tank had some high phosphates so i loked into this but i think with steady water changes and my gfo reactor i should be fine
coolreef
i still may do it just for the extra filtration like u said though
wesreyn
I did the mod on a 29 biocube I had a couple of years ago. It worked very well and definitely helped keeping nitrates at 0. Call me if you want and I can tell you about it.
