polarbear
If all water parameters are good, does there need to be a water change done? I know some people do one every week but what if everything is fine? Whats the other benefits of doing a water change if all parameters are good? offroadodge
Not a big need, but if u don't dose any trace elements then that would be the one reason why.
Mr Cob
I'm with offroadodge...unless you dose to replenish trace elements then you should make it a habit to do small weekly water changes.
Timfish
I'm with them! I am really a big fan of small weekly water changes. If only to have an excuse to stand in front of the tank and really look at everything. In theory as long as the parameters are good you're fine BUT if something starts going wrong odds are its going to go wrong faster AND there are still a lot of things going on in a tank we can't test for. It doesn't take much research to find people who go years without water changes and I'm not opposed to you trying it but you gotta stay on your toes and you won't find me attempting it. polarbear
Well I don't want to be the one here who tries it. I do water changes and will be doing one this weekend. Just wondering. Thanks for the input.
