ballistic.reefer Posted June 17, 2011 Share Posted June 17, 2011 how many ai sol blues would i need for a tank taht is 36x18x21. the oceanic illuminata to be precise. i think i want to convert over to LED. but want to make sure i am doign ti right, and the ai sols seem to be doing great with reviews. any input would be appreciated. My tank is 18x20x30 and I have one unit hanging horizontal if you're looking at the front of the tank and it is plenty. I do get some shadows but only because I have a rock tower that reaches the surface. So 2 might work and also consider hanging them perpendicular to the way they are advertised. You get more coverage that way as long as your tank isn't way wide, which yours is the same width as mine. You are welcome to come check mine out if you want. I really love it!
