Whit
We have shut my tank down and have just been running clean up crew in the old tank, while everything we want to keep is being moved to the new tank. We have to many conch snails, and this one needs to find a new home. Free for the taking, just please come get it! JamesL
Not to dissuade anyone, but the internets say that crown conchs are snail predators. Just want to make sure people are aware of it... and curious on how your experience is with it.
+Melissa
I've had mine since January, and he doesn't bother the snails. Now, on a different side, I've tried on two occasions adding another conch, and both new ones each time ended up missing within a day or two. Maybe they don't like their own kind? Toxiq Reef
Def against other conchs
Whit
We did lose our other conch, but i think it was due to rearranging the rocks and not finding him first... oops. They seemed ok together up until he disappeared (not denying.) We had them in the same tank for about 2 months with no problem. But if you take him and put him in your tank and have problems, take him in for store credit or whatever. I just need to get everything out of my tank, and I wasnt going to charge anyone for a snail...

I would think if the missing conch was killed via conch-on-conch violence, you would have found the shell. That does sound like an unfortunately rock rearranging issue. Like I said, I didn't want to ruin a trade.. just wanted to keep people informed. Carry on

I thank you for your concern, I dont find it threatening. I just always assume people research things before they get them, but realistly I guess some people do not.
