454nm vs 420nm

I just returned a UV Super Actinic T5 420nm because they look really dim to me. It also had a light pink/purple color. The 420nm I guess is just to faint for the human eye to see. I have also heard that it is great for zooxanthellae growth though so if I had more than a 4 bulb fixture I would have included one.

I just got the new ATI purple plus T5 in today. I'll let you know what I think after I install it.

From what I have found online, the 454 looks really similiar (on the charts at least) to the purple plus you listed. I might try mixing them...
