Mad Reefer
So, I'm combating a hair algae problem in my tank. i have cleaned all of it out that i can. However, on this one rock i have that is now covered with hair algae, i can see these cool little redish pink things. Anyone know what they are? caferacermike
+1 for some type of clove polyp. If it's all combined to that tiny little rock, I'd toss it all out in the sun and let it dry out.

caferacermike
Keep in mind that some people find them desirable, I was referring to the idea that if your rock can be removed from the tank to battle the algae, the polyps can be replaced later. Mad Reefer
no problem I thought they were cute but there was no way to save them and still get rid of that hair algae. I've had the tank for a couple of months now and its always had a couple of isolated hair algae clusters that remained the same size. But last week the hair algae just started spreading like crazy. My goal was to get it ALL out this weekend. collateral damage.....
