KaceyJ
I am interested in making miniature "reef" tanks, say in the range of .25-5gl. was not sure if the term pico would really fit. I would like to plump them with sumps, but i have not seen a bulk head or comparable device for anything tubing smaller than 1/2". My question is: does anyone know of a "bulkhead", or equivalent, that i could use to drain water through a hole in glass, and connect tubing to? wayneb
Check out BSR's RO/DI section. They have 1/4" and 1/2" bulkheads that might work- to be used with same size tubing.. wayneb
caferacermike
I used the 1/4" in an ATO build out. Not sure how water tight they actually are. I don't think they came with a gasket. Could probably just use a small o-ring.
KaceyJ
after your replies, i looked em up. does not have a gasket, but i read you could easily find one at home depot etc. thnx guys. looks like that is the smallest i will find. i like the colors the tubing is available in. looks like i can finally color code drain and return lines differently. what is the diameter of the hole that is needed to be drilled? caferacermike
I'd be lying if I told you. Think it was 5/8" but not positive. Send BRS a message.
