labradorduck
Is there a way we can get a grant to collect as many species of corals and other critters/algae etc (even ugly ones) that are in the path of the Gulf's oil slick. Then captive breed them like Austin aqua farms does? After the slick is cleaned up, repopulate it with the captive grown corals to reseed the reef. Should have enough knowledgeable people on this website to have some success. Anyone have any ideas on the matter?
+mcallahan
there might be, but there is no way you'd get a grant passed in time to save anything before the slick arrives. At this point, you'd have to go there fast (like NOW) and collect what you can.
