+KeeperOfTheZoo
This is probably a silly question but... I am going to have a 10g tank drilled (fuge tank). I'm tired of fussing with the stupid overflow that I'm using now not wanting to hold a siphon. The 10g fuge empties into a 20g sump (that has 2 chambers, baffles and the return pump, skimmer, etc). Will a 1" bulkhead like this: http://www.aquacave....kheads-437.html be able to handle a decent amount of flow through the fuge? I'm going to have water gravity feed from the fuge into the sump just like I have it now, only through the bulkhead instead of a siphon overflow. Flow won't be real high, but just incase something goes haywire and the flow increases (gate valve fails or gets turned wrong or....) I want to make sure the fuge will drain ok into the sump and not overflow. The smaller diameter hole I can get away with the better. It's hard to explain, but I have to elevate the 10g under my stand to get the opening for the overflow to drain into the 20g. It'd be best to have the 20g drilled too, but I can't get it all taken apart at once! Liz
Gonzobob
As a general guide a 1" bulkhead / drain will move almost 600GPH
+KeeperOfTheZoo
Awesome! Thank you. That should be plenty then. Liz
