WTT: grouper

I see KaceyJ showed some interest. I know if he got that fish he will be very well taken care of. If something is not worked out with him I may still be interested (depending on what fish my wife will let me give up).

Red sea coral pro 175g. 164.96/3. $54.98 each. Give me the go ahead and I will make the order.

I've personally been using red sea coral pro salt. I've tried both Instant Ocean and Tropica Marin Sea salt, without any complaints (except the price on the Tropic Marin). I haven't tried the Oceanic salt. Would it not be possible for you to still get the Oceanic and for me to get the Red Sea, or does that cause shipping issues?
I have always liked the red sea we will get that also.
What part of town do you live?

Let me look around. I normally use reef crystals but they went up on their price. Is this not a good salt? I thought it might be good because its says its natural and not synthetic. I have only used it once before. That red sea coral pro I hear is pretty good. Any suggestions?

I will be ordering Oceanic Natural Sea Salt Mix 200 gallon mix 1 For me and 1 for my brother I wanted to see if 2 more people were interested. $46.99 + $4 to $5 in shipping so if I can find 2 more people it will be about $52 for salt to make 200 gallons. I would like to make this order today or tomorrow.

Flow
in Reef Keeping
A lot of people base flow on what type of tank you are trying to keep...fish only? SPS? LPS? softies? The general rule is that SPS need high flow, LPS > Softies > Fish only.
There are plenty of articles out there about how much flow you need for each type of tank, so do a little research and see what makes sense for you.
Overall, extra flow can't hurt as long you aren't blowing your sand around, or all your fish are swimming in a straight line.

Thank you I will read up more about it. My tank is mainly sps. Is there any way to identify which tunze power head I have. My tank has been running nicely for over a year but I never really paid attention to the flow I just put those power heads in and with he 3in drains I figured it would be fine. I was just wondering even though my sps are growing fine if more flow would give better growth. I also thought if I add any power heads it may cause more heat.

Flow
in Reef Keeping
I have a 110g Long with a 55g sump/fuge. I was Curious how good or bad my flow is. My tank is drilled calflow with 2 3in drains with 2 mag 7s returning. I have a hydor koralia 4 and a Tunze I believe the tunze is about the same size as the koralia but I doesnt say anywhere. Its mainly sps but also has a purple tang, blue Hippo tang, Rabbit fish and a few clowns. I have a couple Koralia 2 in the garage I was wondering if I should add one.
