    Hey all.. my green monti has little nudis all over its underside... it's also starting to bleach/die. What the best way to treat this.... the rock would be hard to remove from my tank... but I am willing to hear all suggestions. Right now i have a sailfin tang and a mandarin. Thanks.

    Hey all,

    I am looking for a small frag of green monti... maybe purple, but would prefer green. I am looking to spend 5 to ten bucks but would be possibly willing to spend more for additional frags of other stuff. Obviously buying a few frags at a time is a better deal for both the buyer and seller, so I am open for proposals. Let me know. Thanks for time and help.

    Cycling Question

    I just started using a Stability to help cycle my 34g Solana. The live rock, from what I can tell, does not have any decaying material on it or it is cured. Do I need to introduce some kind of decayable matter to help get the initial ammonia spike? i.e. a cocktail shrimp. Or will the tank cycle without the waste?

    Also, how long typically does it take for diatoms and the first sign of algae to show up? Thanks.

    I'd like to mix it up a little bit. This is my first saltwater tank so I am going to be trying to start with hardier, simpler things. But I would love if I could end up getting some branching stony coral to grow in my tank. Fish wise, I would like to have a few. I really like how Bangaii Cardinals look, esp. under a good light.

    Love the caves you created, they look like in nature. What are you planning on keep in the tank?....Softies, SPS, LPS or a little of everything?

    Hey all,

    Just wanted to post some pics of my new Solana, up and running with LR, sand, and water. I hope to look into a cleanup crew in about a week or so.

    Thanks to prof for the stand; I'm lovin' it. And Thanks to reef_newbie for the live rock; it looks great. I can't wait to start putting some livestock in, but I know patience is key.

    Let me know what you all think about the rock setup. Thanks.

    P.S. I was wondering if a cup of live sand from someone's established tank would help mine; what do you all think and is anyone willing to part with a cup or so?

    New to Reefing... Need Supplies

    Hey all,

    I just got my 34g Solana in and am going to be getting some LR, sand, and up and running this weekend, I hope. I just wanted to see if anyone has excess supplies that they no longer need, such as water jugs for RO water from LFS, chemicals, hydrometer/refractometer, salt, etc.

    I know I can buy most of this stuff at the LFS or online, but I thought I would check here for any deals first. Thanks and I look forward to posting some pics once I'm up and running. ;)
