Thanks.
I'm thinking of putting one in my laundry room using the lines for the washing machine and running the output through the wall to the garage to a container out there.
No convenient access to power in that area, so that should work well.

As far as I can tell an RO/DI system does not require an electrical outlet, it simply works off off the water pressure, correct?

Feel free to snatch it up....I already purchased Entropy's old setup
That settles it.
Dibs!
(pending more information)

We have a 75 gallon for sale. Everything is included (glass tank, pump, sump, stand, lights, heater, approx 3-4" sand bed, 2 large limestone rocks). This tank has been set up for approx 3 years, never had any problems with it. Until recently it has housed some triggers, it is still full of water and has been running because we were unsure which tank to part with. I will have my husband take some pics if you are interested.
Asking $250, OBO.
Thanks
Since it's Capt. Obvious's thread I guess he's got first dibs, but I'd like more information on that tank.
What are the dimensions?
PS: PM sent

Hmm...that's awfully close to home. I'm on just down Leander Rd. from you. I might have to stop buy, if for nothing else than to peek at a new tank and meet a few of the people that will hopefully save my sanity when I try to set mine up.

welcome! feel free to look around ..ask questions.
I would have had a 55 you could have bought off of me for dirt cheap but it went to a friend as of 5min ago
hehe...there's a 70 on consignment with stand and sump (if it's still there) at River City Aquatics that keeps calling to me.

Welcome, I went through that/ those stages for about a year and just took the leap last week. Now Im just waiting for my tank to get here! So if I can do it Im sure you can too! lol
I went through this around a year ago and did a lot of research and finally decided that I shouldn't do it because we go on a week long vacation every year and I didn't trust the tank to stay stable enough for a week without maintenance.
Then, talking to a friend of mine a few days ago that has a couple of reef tanks, he convinced me that I should be fine...
So now I'm obsessed again.

New to ARC
(Not yet) new to reef tanks
(Not yet) new to aquariums
I'm currently in the educating, researching, planning and...ugh...budgeting phases of trying to figure out if/what I'm going to do.
I seem to rotate between ready to go, overwhelmed, cautious and back to ready to go.
Current "plan" is a 70ish gallon setup. Wonder how many times that will change.
I have a spot that's a maximum of 48" wide to fill.
If anyone has a tank they're looking to get rid of...
New Setup!!!
