I've read articles on wetwebmedia about puffers and triggers eating them But every fish is different. Ever had any other eels in that tank? Wouldn't wanna risk that beauty!

Anyone else? How about Killeen?
-
Just wanted to know if there were any LFS places in Salado or Temple that had good livestock. Or any town close maybe?

He nice and pickled now Hes a gunmetal blue after he"condensed".
-
Well he seems pretty well preserved so far. Only thing is he released so much red liquid that his jar is Blood red now. Still easy to see him and what not. Bunched up hes probably 8".
-
BTW he is about 12-13" if you can't tell!

So lately I had noticed a few of my Florida ceriths disappearing. About a week ago I found one, but he was covered in some sort of red viscous liquid, and there was no trace of the snail inside. Yesterday at about 8 o'clock, about 2 hours after my metal halides had turned off and it was dark, I turned on my lights and raced over to the tank (as I like to see all my cool beneficial fireworms and pods working away) and I caught sight of a behemoth. It freaked me out and my skin was crawling thinking about it, some giant something in my tank. Well I picked up my 08' issue of Marine and Reef and went to the article they made on worms. One picture caught my eye, Oenone fulgida as did the quote "one of the most common pest worms to enter the aquaria, and reaching a maximum length of 12". Needless to say the 12" part and being able to bore holes in clams freaked me out of ever having my hands in there. I went back after another 4 hours of darkness and caught the monster feeding on one of my ceriths! I quickly took note of his burrow and the rock and schemed my plans. Well today I got active and took the rock out and pip petted baking soda into the hole and submerged the rock. I saved the pods that came out, but no worm. Not liking the rock in particular I began to break it up with a hammer and screwdriver, because I was sure that he was in there. Well guess what I found!
The picture is coming, just got to finish pickling him (that's right) because I want to remember my victory and it looks creepy cool

What size are the retrofits?
-
Sounds great! I'll have to look into it.
-
Please post location. Also how much are you asking for the watchman?
-
Got a picture of that Teardrop maxima? Might try and get over there soon!

I have 20$ and am looking for frogspawn, candycanes, or just about anything LPS. Maybe some soft corals.
-
Dang. I'm always too far away! If its not all gone I might have a chance in the future.
-
It would and probably would run down your DI and membranes faster. That said, I had a idea of a cool evaporation system to collect good old H20, but am having trouble with the idea of salt creep.

I read a thread on wetwebmedia about someone who had 2 years and ongoing success keeping this species. It was in a reef with a DSB and a complex PVC tunnel system. he fed his using whole fish, shrimp, silversides ect. Better read than most articles.

Maybe the Solana XL? I don't know if it's out yet though.
-
Try searching the new Solana XL. Its a rimless 60g cube, I like its look. Just like the regular solana but 2x larger.

Bump! Will trade for certain corals!

You probabley have a good chance of getting a hold of him through MAAST.

Dibs! What part of RR are you in?
-
Did you get those Armor of Gods at RCA? They had a bunch of frags when I was there Sunday.
It is armor of god. What is it that you want to trade for?
The Armor of god is not up for trades. Just got it and waiting for it to grow.
-
Hey I Didn't get the chance to say how great the frags were! That montis and acros were great! It was nice meeting you and the hammers a sweet!
The hammers I got (if they are the same) were much greener and more purple then in the pic under my 14k bulb. Maybe you have different color bulbs though?
Thanks again!
