  1. Well the nem has crawled into a small crevice and seems to like it there and I had little to no trouble catching my GSM pair and they are already hosting in it. The female is just all in it rubbing all over it, the little male hides out near the base. Awesome trade Thanks again

  2. DO NOT overfeed. That is a big mistake ppl make all the time and wonder why thy have algae problems and other more extreme water quality issues. Your livestock don't need to eat 2 or 3 times/day, not coral, and not fish! In fact I feed my fish about once every couple weeks and they are all fat and happy and I RARELY feed my corals. They do what they are supposed to do and that is graze. NO I am not saying once every other week would work for all, but figure out what they need to be healthy, and not feed just to watch them eat.

  3. Yes Good to meet you also. After acclimating it took a couple hours for the nem to finally let go of the baggie it was in. I just fished the baggie out and it looks good and is now looking for a place to hopefully call home. Now the job tomorrow will be to try and catch the clown pair in the 215g and get them in there with it and maybe she will help him to find a place to stay put. LOL

Glad you are happy with the frags!

    Happy New Year!

  4. Also do trades if interested, let me know what you have to trade. Please no softies or LPS (although my Emporor angel would love you for them they just wouldn't last)

Would LOVE a frag of ATL rasberry lemonade nasuta, or most any ORA sps not mentioned above. May consider fish depending on size and variant.

  5. I would definately have the tank drilled just for ease if nothing else, however I have used Lifereef HOB overflows for 4 years on my 180 and have never overflowed it. Lifereef are guaranteed to restart in event of power outage and do not require an Aqualifter pump thanger of any kind. Just my .02.

  6. Sounds to me like it would be fine, Friday is great as I wouldn't be able to get there before thurs myself. YES I will take it! As far sps I don't keep anything green except a green slimer and some green birdsnest, but I am not sure what you might want. You may want to come look and I'll make it worth the trip you can count on that! It's up to you LMK. Mapquest says G-town is about 45 miles to my house, give or take a couple miles depending where in G-town you live. If you'd like to mapquest it my address is "private road 4889", Kempner Tx.

  7. I was thinking og adding an anenome to my nearly empty 180 and putting my clowns in there, do you think it would survive under 3x150w 10ks and 4x96w Actinics? I have a Large pair of GSMs that tend to beat up any other anenome I put with them, I don't think they'd beat this guy up. If you think it would work LMK and I'll take it for the $50 Or I also have several sps that I could trade if you perfer coral.

    Thanks

  9. I have a Kent RO/DI HI-S 35gpd I am not using and would like to sell. I recently changed all filters so filter change would not be required for some time, with the exception of the DI resin cartridge. I've ran about 400-450 gals (8 or 9 Brute trash cans) thru it since filter change and the DI resin is spent. I was asking $150, reduced to $80

My Ph# 512 525-1229, I live in Kempner about 30-40 mins North of Austin depending on where in Austin you are. Call for directions, it's real easy to find.

PS I will also be posting a livestock ad in the livestock forum.

  10. Hey Mike,

What length tank was that, I am looking to get more wave/flow in my 215g and I was considering the same 3 alasg001 was asking about, although I was considering 2 x 6105s GEN II on a wavemaker to replace my 2 x 6100s VS adding a wavebox. Was leaning toward the 2 x 6105s GEN II as to not have the HUGE wavebox in my tank. Pros? Cons?

  11. I have a DSA 215g RR, it seems fine so far, been up since July 08. My algae magnet w/scaper was shredding silicone at the seams so I took the scraper off, the magnet still pulls some off now and then.

  12. I want to say I will be there, but not sure if I'll be up to the drive as Sunday is my only day off. Please don't count me for sure, but I am going to try, that is #1 Topic I need at this point in time with my tank! hehe well actually it should have been done a couple years ago!

    Thanks!

    Looking forward to meeting ya'll
