I moved my powerheads around and added an Mp40 on its lowest setting. The cyano was settling on the dead spots. The extra flow and the snails seems to have drastically helped the situation. The biggest difference I can tell in corals is the sarcophyton are all now happy. I couldn’t for the life of me figure out why they wouldn’t open. They either don’t like the cyano, or love the extra flow. Either way, I’m glad they’re finally happy. I added a weeping willow toadstool about 3 weeks ago that wasn’t cheap and just love it! It’s so small and just waves all over now. emoji173.png I’m not an impulsive buyer anymore like when I first began the hobby, lol, but I was on a waiting list for this little guy for 6 weeks.

you have any pics of the weeping willow? Where did you get it from? I've been on the hunt for one for a while myself. I saw one once from Divers Den, but hesitated on getting it and it sold.

Your corals all look very healthy, but I think you will outgrow that tank, maybe yesterday

I still have some room to play with, not much though haha. The major problem is the Anemone I have had been moving around too much for me to attempt to mount anything to rock. I'm thinking about giving it away as its not really flourishing in my system and I would rather it be in a home it felt happier in.

WOW...what an assortment of stuff! Yeah...you do need a bigger tank...wink...wink!

Agreed, now I just gotta convince my wife that she needs a bigger tank.

Alright, Ty wins the acan challenge.  I pulled it today, it stayed closed for the last two weeks.  Your prize Ty is you can say "Told you so "

Also, I picked up this super nice Zen reef anemone box this weekend:

Those zen reef boxes are pretty swanky. I've eyed them a few times.

  4. This has been pretty awesome to watch, its incredible how much algae you're starting to pull out. I'll definitely have to keep this project in mind if I ever get around to setting up something bigger. Thanks for sharing!

I was cleaning the tank and snapped some top-downs of the right side of the tank while I was at it.d5baa2d25e056d03e06264dc44acd5c8.jpg5360f56ed532189a206ea8594c6222ef.jpg3b4ad8750d694799ae67747d0cb84689.jpg4bc991a452942215166d9ab4cf79fe15.jpg

Awesome stuff Ty! So many colors, I really like that first photo. Looking forward to the DSLR goodness. I've tried messing with the Rebel XTi my wife has, but I think I need better lenses which i'm not quite ready to drop the cash on yet haha.

I picked up a double polyp zoa that turned out to be two different types, or maybe a morph?

Gold head sleeper Goby - I've always had Diamond Watchman Gobies to keep my sand turned over and clean, but wanted the GHSG because it's pretty.  Unfortunately, he's not as hard a worker as his DWG cousin.  Pretty, but not real functional.

Kind of excited about my rainbow shrooms!  After being 1 forever, 2 looks to be turning to 3 pretty quickly.  Hoping they keep going and cover that ledge - I need more! :D

Neat! The blue streak across the face is very striking. I was wondering if it was some sort of goby because it looks similar to the DWG.

I would be too, that is a beautiful specimen! I found that they take can take forever to finally start splitting as well. One of mine finally split after being in my pico for a year. I'm addicted to collecting as many different color varieties as possible. Congrats on it finally splitting!

Thank you! I bought them from LiveAquaria as Dispars, but I suspect they shipped me Ignitus.  Only difference I can tell is a little swatch of green at the base of the dorsal.

They are really pretty, am I counting 6? Whats the male to female ratio you have and how often do you feed them? One things i've read about Anthias being a bit difficult was that you had to feed them multiple times to a day prevent starvation because they eat a lot.

  9. If you ever have an extra ricordea polyp you want to trade for a different color, or want to sell one let me know!

Sorry to hear about your tank issues, hope things stabilize for you. Beautiful tank though. Whats the white fish with the yellow on the head?

I've gotten about 2/3 of the corals moved over. So far everything is looking nice and fat an happy.  One thing that doesn't look right is everything you see with red in it is actually orange in person.

Everything looks really happy. Those acans are huge! Lookin’ good.

FarmerTy was nice enough to come over and film a video of my tank. Enjoy!

Tank is looking spectacular! So many nice corals in there. I’m impressed with how densely packed it is.

To eliminate reflections it's best to have the room completely dark with only the aquarium light on.  Eliminating shakes when holding my cell is something I'm still working on :D  but youtube (and maybe your cell phone) has software to reduce some of it.

Thanks for the advice! I’ll have to try that next time. I’ll have to look more at what options are on the phone for video editing. I’m not too familiar with this new phone.
