  1. Hello reefers! I just couldn’t stay away. I set up a new 10g cube last weekend.  I plan on *trying* to keep it simple with softies and LPS.  I’m excited to be back in the hobby and in the ARC community again. I’ve missed it! Looking forward to the journey with you! IMG_1714.jpeg

Mdavis came over again today and helped me get a bit further towards completing the tank cabinets and framing it out. He faked a cough all day and said he was allergic to sawdust and made me do all the cuts but he's a measuring robot so I let it go.

It's starting to really come together! I'll have to do some spackling and sanding to be ready for the final day when we get the cabinet doors up.

Also, my wife already vetoed the square corners so I'll have to replace the top board to go all the way to the side boards. No corners for this guy.

On the corners, as a comprise can you have a cool diagonal dovetail joint? If it exist... You get the idea

Its only because my SPS are ugly right now with the lighting change and adding fish back in. It'll be all acros again soon enough! Thanks Sissy! I tried to play with other effects this time. Amateur wanna-be video guy. emoji51.png

You make excellent videos,  always have. That should be a subject at a meeting, how to make Videos.

  4. For future fish additions a school of cardinals is really nice. I love the way they school and when one gets left behind you can see the panic as he searches and catches up with the others. It's fun to watch. Wow. That makes me sound a little sinister

    Also, LOVE the Diablo

  5. Nah, the tank is to escape the wife! Where's a drum rim shot when you need it? [emoji12]

I'd be careful, there are a lot of hormones flying around that house right now!

  6. Your son may replace your tank for now but one day you will NEED a tank in your life to escape him occasionally, not like I would know. That's just what I've heard [emoji12]

  7. I check out for one week and everything changes! Congrats on the house Ty! I'm assuming it went through? I'd love to help but I'm actually very awkward when it comes to working in groups, can I volunteer for pooie duty? It'll give me practice for my future business [emoji6] But seriously I would like to help with whatever I can, taking my foot into consideration

  8. Well, there are certainly some individuals that are pleased to see you do so.  I'm curious what your thought process was in making that decision?

My nitrates were steadily climbing and got higher than my liking and the algae was increasing and it just looked dirty. I'm positive the last two are because I also took out my uv filter. My tank has been a bit neglected since Angel left. I'm doing weekly water changes now but lost track for a while there. In addition I have trouble letting everything balance out in time. It scares me. You have quite a few years of experience over me! If I loose this tank I'll never be able to replace it now. [emoji29]

That's one of the saddest and cutest things I've seen. Poor things. That's as sad as my maroon clown hosting my chalice because the picasso is being a butt head. "Here my little rigid and rough plate, I'll love you"- said my maroon clown to the chalice

How's the gorgonia (spelling?) liking all the loving?

  10. It's perfect for you're tank! It adds interest without taking away from the aquarium

In my case I have to convince my husband it doesn't take much money and actually makes money. Yeah, time to get creative. But I'm psyched that this came together for you! Every reefers dream :)
