Roland, do you have any Chips Acro available? Can you ship?
This is an old thread from 2017. Just a heads up...

You ever head north? I'm up in Georgetown but am interested in a few.

Thanks Christy for hooking things up!

Might want to check out FarmerTy's build thread on reef2reef or here...I'm sure he has details on how he does it.

LFS. I've worked with both Aquatek and River City in the past. They should be able to send you a price sheet or quote depending on exactly what you're looking for. Planet aquarium tanks seem to be popular out here.

Going to start thinking about my AWC setup, is anybody else doing automatic water changes? Any pitfalls I need to be thinking about before I get going with this enhancement?
I used to run 1g daily awc on my 90g using a DOS...and only complaint was it was really loud. Really want to setup my new build with awc but feel like I'd have to find a different pump to use.

I've got my emergency stand pipe about 1cmish below the bottom of the weir and then my full siphon pipe about 7" below the emergency drain. I have my gate valve on the full siphon set so just a trickle of water comes down the emergency pipe. This appears to be the quietest configuration. They also sent me two mufflers, I used them both. While the muffler on the full siphon pipe is submerged it doesn't restrict flow, so I figure it'll keep out snails and other stuff that otherwise might clog/restrict the flow.
Ok that's what I was thinking too. I emailed tideline about the maggie and they said they weren't designed for a full siphon...but guess it doesn't matter when they're fully submerged. Good point on the snails getting in too. Thanks for the info!

Hey how exactly did you setup your overflow with the herbie? Curious because I have 2 of the maggie mufflers. Thinking about doing a full siphon and using one of the maggies to use for the extra flow.

The drains were a real PITA though and the tideline external overflow needs some improvements. The biggest problem was squeezing the 90s into the external box. I had to trim the 90s to get them to fit inside. it was a lot of trial and error.
I just purchased one of their tanks with the same overflow...and had the same problem. They have a new fitting now that fits better...called the Magpie Mini or something. I'm guessing you're good to go now though.

I think I got the same tank! 96 x 30 x 24 Planet from RCA. I ended up scrapping the Tideline overflow and replacing with an Exotic Marine.
Just sucks that I paid extra money for something that doesn't work...hoping Jake talks some sense into them.

I did not use any epoxy. I have not had long term success with epoxy in the past, my vote is to stick with acrylic rods and/or pvc.
Gotcha. Are you referring to it not holding up long term?

Looks good! Just got nearly the same tank from river city a few weeks ago (6'w x 30"d x 25"t) tank from river city a few weeks ago. Did you get a chance to mess with the overflow box? Jake from RC came by to look at it yesterday due to the issue with the bulkheads hitting the plumbing inside the external box. Jake is supposed to get back to me soon but wondering what your impressions were.

Looking good! About to start building some rock scape myself with acrylic rods. Did you use any epoxy along with the rods?

You got a 75 !?!?! I thought the biggest you could get was a 29? Which location?
Yeah the 40, 55 & 75 are 50% off during the sale. The Petco over by the lakeline mall had 2 when I was there. Regularly $200...got for $100.

Got a 75g for sump build...such a good deal!

I came on here almost every day to see what's going on...which is usually not much. Came on the other day and the last 20ish posts on the activity tab were from AquaSD.
Nothing agains AquaSD...they are a great company...but just as you said...was kinda depressing when most of what I saw were only advertisements.I usually stick with Reef2reef...since that forum is always kicking.
Anyone have some chaeto for sale?
