When I say algae, it's not diotoms. It just makes the sand red on top. I'll take pics in the morning when the lights come on. Maybe that's one problem, that I don't have a good CUC. All I have is a few hermits and a small snail. I've been thinking about adding an urchin. But I don't want to get poked ?

Thanks. I did stock my tank too fast. I don't have any green hair algae anymore. But I do get a little red algae on the sand that doesn't seem to ever go away.

How do you keep your tank looking so clean and crisp looking?

What's your secret to not have any algae?
