Sorry Brian, the Planas were gone only a few minutes of posting on Maast and ARC. I will definitely try to get a few more of them as it seems they're what everyones into.

    Nice snag Brian!

I need to come see you again Matt!

Come by anytime Gabe, a ton has changed since you've been out last!

where are you at? And do u have any of the BALI TRI-COLORED ACRO (purple and green)

I'm located out in Taylor, about 30minutes northeast of Austin off Highway 79. I do not have any of the purple and green tricolor, however there is a really sweet hoeksemai here: http://www.austinaquafarms.com/salespages/...ages/sps_3d.htm

  2. Have some leftover Bali Acro colonies that need to move before future shipments can come in. This was one of the nicest shipments of acros I've recieved from Bali and a few of the pieces include:

Acropora Millepora, Gomezi, Plana, Parilis, Hoeksemai, Cerealis, Tenuis, Formosa, Valida, Plana, Robusta, Papillare, Pulchra

    Montipora Digitata, Aequituberculata, Verrucosa

    Favia Chinensis, Pallida

All Bali acros will be marked 20% off and keep in mind they are very nice sized colonies, most are 2"x3"+

  3. Austin Aqua Farms will be having a "midnight madness cherry picking" event next Saturday, October 27th. I will be leaving for California on Monday for some cherry picking and to really stock the tanks before the sale. Everything will be on sale 20% off on Saturday and Sunday. Hope everyone is a fan of BBQ because i'll have some of the famous Louie Muellers BBQ for all to enjoy, so atleast come for some food(the food will only be provided on Saturday evening)! People are welcome to come out around 5PM and stay as late you want! I know when you get reefers together the conversations can go deep into the night. Anyone and everyone from Maast and ARC is welcome to attend! It's not a "Maast or ARC meeting" so don't expect anyone speaking on anything. If anyone needs directions or information, give me a call or email!

  4. Maybe at some point a meeting can be scheduled, but right now I'm just having people out whenever. You are more than welcome to get together with others and come out in groups, but I'm trying to stay away from having TOO many people out here at once. Taylor is a bit different from Austin and the fire marshall is always coming by. Having too many people in the shop at once can be a hazard and the last thing I want to do is upset him. Having more than 15people in here at once could get alittle tight and there's so many things that could either be knocked over or broken. If Fri/Sat/Sun is bad for you, definately give me a call and I can get out here to meet you most any other times!

  5. Hey guys and thank you for the welcome, glad to be a part of ARC! The original plan for this business was going to be online retail, with very minimal local walk in. I have since changed this around and will be allowing local retail/walk ins as long as some form of appointment is made due to me not being out at the farm for any scheduled hours yet. This is still a one man operation so alot of the time I'm still out running around and getting things done and I would hate for someone to drive all the way out to Taylor to find out i'm not there. I would love to welcome anyone and everyone from ARC to come out and check the farm out this weekend! I will be out there between 4pm-10pm Friday/Saturday/Sunday. The website should be up and running within 3 weeks, so everyone here is welcome to come check stuff out before it goes online. There's still close to 250 pieces left and everything from mushrooms and zoos to elegances to acros and montis! I also just received a shipment of ORA frags as well and every one of them looks FANTASTIC! Please plan ahead and give yourself ample time to come out and visit, from North Austin its roughly a 30min drive and there's quite a bit to see here! I would plan for a 2hr trip so I can show you around and explain how everything is setup.

-James, thanks for coming out and seeing everything, was great to hang out and chat for awhile! Hopefully one of those chip's acros will still be around when you're ready!

And thank you everyone who has come out so far and helped with all the moving of tanks or equipment, plumbing, or the late nights putting thousands of pounds of rock in the tanks, I couldn't have done this without your help!

    Few Pictures of the farm:

Please give me a call before you plan to come out and make sure i'm there or so I can make plans to be there! The number for the shop is 512-309-4820. Send me a private message and I'll also give you my cell phone number incase I'm not out at the shop. Hope to see everyone there!

  6. Thanks for posting the pictures Brian and John, I really appreciate it! As of right now I have no plans of opening the shop to the general public. I have quite a bit invested in the setup and the fewer people that know about it, the better. If you want to contact me privately I would be more than happy to talk about the setup and everything that has happened so far.

As for now, a meeting is really out of the question, there's not much to see except large plastic tubs with some rock haha.

I definately am looking to hire someone on atleast part time as I get setup, and hopefully i'll need somone fulltime as time progresses and I get more busy.

The tanks are 12'x3'x2'tall, each holds roughly 500g at the level i'm keeping the water currently. A Deltec AP1006 is doing all the skimming, and I will hookup 2 PF1001 Deltec reactors to handle the calcium demand. Total water volume should be in the neighborhood of 3000g when all is setup and the 2 vats that are still under construction are finished and hooked up.

Walked in this morning to find this nasty beast doing its thing!
