  5. It keeps getting better!!! They are available from computerbrain.com for only $10.50 each!!! Check out this link http://www.computerbrain.com/applications/...sp?sku=ULT31570
  6. I've been using two of these power strips on my 70G reef tank for about 6 months and they are great. The second power strip plugs into the 7th outlet on the first power strip so that you only have one power cord to connect to you GFCI. It makes maintenace so much easier when you can simply switch off any individual pump or lamp rather than unplug it. FYI, I have found an even better price, only $14.50 each, see the following link. The company is based in Arlington, TX http://deadeyedata.com/index.php?main_page...products_id=222 I'm in the process of setting up a 215G FOWLR and just placed an order for 3 but they are back orderd until 2/15. Well worth the wait though.
  7. I've found what I'm looking for! A power strip with 6 individually switched outlets and a 7th that's permanently on, a 6ft power cord and a master on/off switch, all front mounted. It's manufactured by Ultra model # ULT31570. Best price I can find is $17.99 from CDW.com
  8. If I find some one selling just a ballast I'd be interested in 4 end caps. I'll let you know.
  9. I'm looking for something with both the switch and the outlet on the front. The DJ ones are OK if you have access to the outlet on the back, which I don't. The ones I bought in the past from TigerDirect.com had 6 outlets each with individual switches and a 7th outlet that was permanently on, all on the front of the power strip. They had a 6ft power cord and only cost $14.99 each plus shipping. Radio Shack also had them but they no longer stock them!
  10. Anyone know where you can buy power strips with individual switches for each of the outlets? I've bought them in the past from www.TigerDirect.com buy they no longer stock them. They're great for mounting in your stand and being able to swich off individual pumps, etc without unpluging them. I've tried Googling them but so far no luck!
  11. Loooking for a electronic VHO ballast capable of driving 2 x 72" VHO bulbs with or without end caps and bulbs. Prefer IceCap or PFO. Let me know what you have and price required.
  12. Have you checked out http://www.bulkreefsupply.com They offer a very inexpensive two part solution that includes magnesium.
  13. Kent Pro long handled scraper with replaceable blade. Handle lengths up to 36" available. Works great.
  14. If you move it, it will will most likely move back again! It's going to find a spot where it's happy with with the water flow and light. Unfortunately this may not be where you want it to be! I've moved mine several times but he keeps moving back so now I just leave him alone.
  15. The DIY 2 part solution and a dosing pump is a no-brainer solution for me. I figure the chemicals wiill cost about $20 including shipping for a 3 month supply. I'm goping to start with manual dosing as I do now with B-ionic, see how things go, then get a dosing pump for $90. You can can get everything you need from http://bulkreefsupply.com.
  16. FYI, I just found this link http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-02/rhf/index.php#12 for an improved recipe which adds magnesium chloride (Mag Flake) You can also purchase everything you need in a pre-measured kit from http://www.bulkreefsupply.com
  17. This is a link to making your own very inexpensive two-part calcium and alkalinity additive system http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/april2004/chem.htm Has anyone tried it ? Results?
  18. How's your Tomini doing? I'm trying to decide on my next fish and a Tomini is high on the list. I'm looking for a tang that doesn't get too big and will peacefully co-exist with coral beauty and percs.
  19. Many thanks Kris. I'm acclimating him right now. He's opening up and looks fantastic.
  20. Kris, I'm interested and just PM'd you with my phone # Colin
  21. If it's in the sump who cares what color it is! Black is hard to find and is great for covering open top tanks. Keeps the fish in and the cats out!
  22. Home Depot have 8' x 4' white egg crate in their lighting dept. If you want black egg crate I have two 8' x 4' pieces for sale for $10 each.
  23. I've had this Condi anemone for 6 months and it's grown to about 5" across. My Clarkii clowns hosted it immediately as you can see below. It was white when small but now it's pinkish in color. I'm asking $15 or will consider anything in trade. I'm located just off 620 in Lakeway. Call me if you're interested. Colin 512-289-9835
