  1. I bought a beautiful frogspawn months ago and it was doing great!!! I’ve done a few water changes since but the other day I woke up to my frogspawn looking a little deflated (not the first time). Then I noticed it was excreting something. I was alarmed and tested my water. Everything was in safe parameters. By the next day the 2 major heads were dying. It appears the dying process has stopped but something shocked the coral because now the other heads are restricted. Good news is I have about 8 other small heads sprouting and they look healthy and unharmed. Any suggestions? What could have happened?!?!

  2. I started my Biocube tank about 2 1/2 months ago and my tank has been cycled for over a month and a half and i am getting the ball rolling on my tank. Unfortunately, I had an accident with my lights. One of my ballasts failed on me and while checking the other ballast i forgot to turn it off and short circuited it causing it to break as well...its been a sad couple of days. So, I am now left with a moon-lit tank and a bunch of gloomy invertabrates who are wondering what is going on. These are the things in which I am in search of to get me back on track:

-2 Biocube 14 gal Ballast or a complete biocube 14 tank set for around $100

    -2 5-gal jugs

    -protein skimmer (not really necessary)

    -2 syringes for water tests

-Hydrometer or refractometer (I plan on really getting into this so preferably a refractometer)

    Thanks!
