I'm liking the rockwork on the left of the tank a lot.

In other news, I found my decorator crab walking around with a space monster zoa on his head :/ He has expensive taste.
Decorator crabs are funny like that.
No telling what they will have glued on themselves.

What are the green palys on the right? Green button? Or something else?
-
Carboys gone. Just bottles now.
-
Sold, gone, done.
-
Kegs all sold, only carboys and wine bottles remain.

Haha my wife handles our budget... we work together so it's more than fair.
Also she is pretty good with money. When we started dating I had CC debt and spent more on cars than anything else.
Fast forward 8 years and we have no debt, just the house and cars financed. Have had 3 houses since then and have always put down large down payments, giving us great equity. Also now I won't finance anything.
Sounds funny to have somebody strict on your budget but it works. We even were able to save up and pay to have our pool put in within a year while building up savings... and she still lets me get toys like cars, tanks, etc...
Now for me it's more a battle over size and space of the tank. Also if I buy something rare and expensive that dies I might get the "I told you so" :-/
Finance less = less interest payment = more money for other stuff
I finance stuff for one month on a credit card, and pay it off at the end of the month; avoiding any charges. Over 2 years I've put everything on that card and paid $5 in interest (I use it for safety and for hotel points, get about a free nights stay every month.)
Not paying interest adds up quick, you just have to get into the saving and paying mode. I 100% agree! You are totally on the right track! I'm trying to kill our mortgage right now.... Then I can rest.

I really want these gone and need funds for the new build. How's that for a price drop!?!?!
-
Sorry to revive an old post but I found more kegs, the pin locks are still available, and I'm selling wine bottles too.
So I'm updating the prices. Rock bottom prices for the club. and I want the space in my garage back.
2 pin lock kegs - $30.00 each, if you want some pin lock connectors I'll give them to you with the purchaseSOLD2 ball lock kegs - $40.00 eachSOLDCarboys 5x - $40.00 for the lot of 5 or $10.00 each
Wine Bottles, used, but cleaned, and all labels removed. ~100 of them will sell individually at $0.50 each (less than half of retail) This is a heck of a lot of wine bottles... Bring a few boxes to carry. Various colors of green and shapes. I'm keeping the clear ones for mead.

FTS looks nice!

Like the carpet! Good picture.
Here are a few quick pics using my phone from the other day.
I tell you this carpet keeps growing!

Dennis,
Keep it simple. Get 24W PC bulbs at lowes or Home Depot. Cost of $11 each. Spend $2 for waterproof pigtail sockets. Put a couple of those broad spectrum bulbs. You can grow anything with them. Grog found some LED at 4500 kelvin that does well. Just use water proof sockets, whichever light source that you go with.

The lamp I'm using I moved outside because they released a new one at 5000k and double brightness. The old one was great but this new one is like 'Wow!'.
PAR 38 form factor and $35.00 I have one over a 10g tank.
I'd say for total coverage on a larger tank, one every 18" would be good.
If you consider these, look at the boxes, I went with the highest K (5000) and the highest lumens. This one is rated at 1400 lumens and color is what I would call a diamond white.

Big fan of 2 coral plus, 1 purple plus, and one blue plus. 14k color with a good pop for reds and greens. I am not a fan of too blue of a tank.
I actually have 4 bulbs I bought last month during the last BRS group buy and ran for a week before going back to only MH setup. They have been used a week and then taken offline. Currently offered to someone but if they don't take them, I will post on for sale thread.
2 blue plus, 1 coral plus, 1 purple plus -48"
Late response.
But I picked these up from Ty the other day and they look great. 2 blue, 1 coral, 1 purple. I was very leery of the purple but it works and they are quite brighter than the no-name bulbs.
Good color combo IMO. The purple plus is not offensive to my senses like the Fiji Purple was

Am I the club member? I can't remember! Haha.
-Ty
I got some from Tim and some from Aquadome.
I think I got Purple Death from you a while back.
-
The two groups are from different sources. 1X from Aquadome and 1X from a club member.
I fragged them yesterday but I'm not trading/selling right now. Trying to grow them out and fill the area.

Update from today, the end of May, so about three months. Gorg is looking great and the palys are growing well. Cheap PAR38 LED from Lowes is doing the job! The stalk has total polyp regrowth and looks like it never had a problem. I had thought this one was a goner, so this goes to show to not give up hope.

First set of Palys, pics of the second group didn't turn out so well and I don't fee like reshooting them. I know they are not exactly on topic but they are in the same tank so it is close enough IMO. These palys are large, the disks are easily the size of a silver dollar, 1.5", in diameter when opened.

Just saw this thread.
I'm replacing bulbs in a 48" fixture. Would 3X Blue Plus 1X Coral Plus be a good choice? or go with 2X of each?
I'm reluctant to try the Purple. Had a Fiji Purple before and didn't like the look of it.

I feel your pain.
I have a chiller that I was going to list yesterday and like 3 or 4 popped up on the forum for sale in one day. I'm going to hold and let y'alls sell first.
GLWS though

Very nice build; original! The shape came out nice and I like what you did with the plumbing. Good job!

Others
3 blue green chromis (at 9" of fish, this will take almost half our rule of thumb "1/2 inch per gallon")
Orchid Dotty Back
Undetermined Blenny
Royal Gramma
...Have an Orchid Dotty Back and love it. Blenny, we have a bi-color. Both have tons of personality and are very different fish. Blenny is very shy and non-agro. Dotty back is shy but can be very agro when it wants to be. I will have to say the blenny is one of my favorite fish I've ever owned. The colors, behavior, attitude, just a cool fish. Needs sand though. Likes to sift through it. Don't think I would house one with agro fish though.

Having been through a few nem and pump episodes myself, I'm amazed that they recover so well. Several times, I've been like, "Oh, that one's a goner." and yet they come back again and again.
They have some crazy regenerative properties.
