Actually still one big rock left. We could not break it apart. The water is pretty cloudy right now. Has a big shelf monti-on it. 4 rose bubble tip anenomes, 1 acro, 1 millipora. will take another picture when the water clears up but here is where it came from in the orginal picture. Legend picked most of it up because he emptied his 90 gallon. (this is a pretty big rock everyone)

I will have some fish to sell if anyone is interested in 3 pajama cardinals $40 for trio, a mystery wrasse $40, a six line wrasse $20 (he is little), a blue spotted jaw fish $100. Domino clown pair $75.

Thank you for your patients.

Everything just needs a new home. I am tearing down the tank. Will sell all of the equipment afterwards. Trying to get rid of like rock and corals during the week Sunday Feb 27-Friday March 4th. I am not going to lie I have had red bugs and aiptasia before, so please use your best judgement and quarentine if you want to. I have always used natural measures to try and take care of them so 6 line wrasse for red bugs and file fish or shrimp for the aiptasia (so no guarantees they are all gone). You can take frags of the corals if you want, I really have to work during the week so whatever harvesting needs to happen will be on whoever wants the coral. I also always did my best to buy aquacultured corals from live aquaria for the most part. It will be first comes first serve, I am not going to hold anything for anyone. Just PM me and I will share my cell phone, I work from home so pretty much most hours are fine to stop by.

Thanks so much man picked up 2 this morning unfortunately.

Breaks my heart but I think its best for the livestock, Bring cash we will talk about price I will make you a cheap fair deal.
Tank has been up and running for over a year everything is nice and healthy. Most of these fish came from Live Aquaria and Divers den so they were all quarantined before and have never shown any signs of ich. I am going to be breaking down the tank today and putting live stock in holding tanks. Anything that is not sold today will be going to local fish stores. The equipment will be sold later.
Fish:
3x bartlet anthias I think they are all females not sure but I bought them as a trio
Yellow tang
Powder Blue tang
2x Ocellaris Clownfish
Curacao Chromis (You can see him here https://reefbuilders.com/2014/09/17/face-liveaquaria-kevin-kohens-fish-collection-part-2/#) <not my fish but very similar
Starry Blenny
Orange stripe Prawn Goby
2x hoeven's wrasse male and female
1x potters angle
1x purple firefish
Coral I don't even know where to begin here. I need to run up and get my holding tanks but I will try to post later some of the items I have. Most came from WWC, Live Aquaria and Austin aqua farms.
Here is a current tank shot, I just turned the lights on out of cycle this morning to snap the photo so not everything is open and full but it will give you an idea.

Looks right up my alley ! Very cool. Are you planning on using a controller to manage this beast ?
Yes sorry didn't list it I have a reef Keeper elite W/ Net. I currently have it hooked up to my 50G and will transfer it during the build.
-
All right lets get started.
This really started from taking my wife to a local fish store and her seeing bigger tanks, at least that's what I tell myself. It really stemmed from me wanting to upgrade my 50G. So here are the goals I set out to accomplish:
Increase Lighting, (Water Volume, Quality & Stability), Aesthetic, Bioload in Display, Biological Filtration.
Decrease Sound, Daily Tasks
So here is what is planned:
Tank:
Deep Sea Aquatics 135G 48x24x29 Custom
¾” extra clear glass on all sides & pvc bottom, top pvc bracing
Dual 1 - ½” Center bulkheads
Lightning:
2x Ecotech XRw30 PRO 340W
Water Flow:
1x Reeflo Snapper Dart Gold (dart impeller) 2400 GPH (6’ head) 150W
2x Ecotech MP40wES 50% 3200 GPH (50%) 30W
Genesis Renew Pro
Filtration:
1x Avast Black Pearl 26W
1x Avast Swabbie 3W
1x Avast Davy Jones Skimmate Locker
1x Avast MR5 running carbon
1x Avast Kracken BioPellet Rector
Heating/Cooling:
1x ¼HP Chiller 720W
1000 Watts of heating
Supplements:
1x Korallin 3002 10W (already had) $150 used
1x Avast SeaBones Effluent Chamber $170
1x Reef Octopus SRO KS 100 $250

I really like my eheim 1250. Its been a work horse.
-
I have 2 XR30w Pros but I haven't hooked them up yet. Very sexy though!
-
Just so I don't have to go over the details...
http://www.coralvue.com/reef-octopus-sro2000ext-super-reef-protein-skimmer.html
http://www.avastmarine.com/ssc/do/product/captains/CS2-BlackPearl-Skimmer
So I am a bit torn. One of these will be going on my 135G Gallon DSA custom. I have read good things about about the bubble blaster 2000 pump vs the 1000 sicce however the air draw and the wattage on the sicce is better. The skimmer will be in the garage so I don't really care about noise.
Any recommendations?
Cheers and Thanks!
Michael

I am only going to throw this out there, and I don't have any experience with the system but from what I have read isn't zeovit the most notorious for creating the lowest nutrient tanks to date? Would that not be the the best possible route? As well as having the automatic rotation for the most consistency?
http://reefbuilders.com/2012/03/07/zeolite-tumbler-avast-marine/
Still wouldn't recommend it!!!
And not to mention you would need some kind of aeration, so a skimmer as well.

Just saw this thread. I was out walking the day they were bringing that thing into the neighborhood. I live just down the hill. If you saw some random person chasing the truck that was me. Props Paul, I don't envy the logistics of that build or the maintenance. I do envy having something like that in my living room though. Best of luck sir and would love to see it one day.

Ok so I am a bit still on the fence about using 1 pump & a manifold to run all my equipment.
Pros:
Less wattage on several fronts, in general compared to other pumps & less heat generated and passed into the water. So less time that the chiller runs.
Less Maintenance.
Cons:
If the 1 pump dies then the whole system is down for the count. (don't really want to keep a spare $400 pump lying around)
Feeding, So I have a controller that I would like to turn the return off while the system feeds. If you only have 1 return pump for everything it shuts the entire system down.
How do you guys handle those cons?

I haven't built the sump yet all it really will be is a 40 gallon breeder with some glass partitions. The thought was put the pump next to the sump running parallel to it length wise. Here is an idea though maybe drill 2 x 2" holes in the sump and Tee them together so you increase the amount of water it could pull... Maybe it won't affect the pump that much?
-
I was thinking about buying a Snapper/Dart for my return. Here is the question is it ok to plumb a 90 into the intake? I am limited on space and it seems like the best idea for placement. Anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks.

Well I wanted to post a bit about some new equipment I just got. I have had my Reef Octopus KS100 for a few days and a cheap timer kept resetting on me. I don't really know why. The motor on the stirrer is supposed to run for 15 minutes and then be off for 2 hours to extend the motor life.(at least that's what the instructions say). I have had the Reef Keeper Elite lying around for about 6 months because we moved right after I bought it and I just hadn't set it up. So I mustered up the courage and decided to try to set it up. 2.5 hours and little luck later I am happy to say I love this thing.
Step 1> download manual from forums(1)Step 2> plug stuff in1st hiccup got everything plugged in and the head unit didn't turn on and the PC4's were blinking. Had no idea why that was, enter forums(2). Saw a post talking about upgrading firmware decided to give that a try
Step 3> download myreef2.0 from website
Step 4> plug SIDv.2 into usb on laptop and plug in head unit, Computer sees it, Sigh of relief!
2nd hiccup try to update firmware but there is no program button on software. Unmaximize myreef2.0 and program button shows up. AH HA
Step 4> Update each module individually. Net unit takes the longest by far.
Step 5> Reconnect everything and still no dice. I had blue lights on some units but not the head unit.
3rd hiccup what would cause this. Answer was bad factory bus cable. Kit came with extras so I plugged in another and away we went.
Step 6> Access router to find IP address given to Net module. Seeing as how I have quite a few things on my network it took me a bit but I found it. Typed in the IP address of the unit and a webpage came up.
4th hickup the most generic white webpage pops up that looked like a retarded monkey programmed it. I thought for sure I didn't drop 5 bills for this...
Step 7> Back to the forums(3) I was thinking that maybe I messed up the install on the Firmware for the net module. This led me to instructions for loading the latest firmware on the Net module. Apparently you have to load a .bin file you download separately from forums. The instructions tell you to go to a specific url on your NET module to load it.
Step8> Oh wow there is a nice web interface to go along with it.
5th hiccup you need a user name and password to access it. Back to forums(4) to download manual for NET module to get default username & password.
Step 8> Login Finally!
Step 9> Start Programming. Thought wow I thought I was supposed to be able to control things from the website.
6th Sort of Hiccup there is a setting you have to change on the head unit itself to allow you to control stuff from the web.
Step 10> Setup a timer on the Head Unit (read the manual about how repeat works)
Step 11> On the website, set one of the channels on the PC4 to multi-timer and pick the timer you made.
All done and now I am going to go have a drink.

GFO & carbon small feed to calcium reactor. I have 3 two little fishies 150's that I think are all going by the way side. Thinking about buying 2 nextreef MR1's for replacements.
1300 gallons for return
reactors 150 GPH = 300
600 for Fast flow refugium
150 for low flow refugium
1500 gallons for chiller (1/4 Hr JBJ)Currently have.
1260 @ 4 foot 500 65 w for fast flow refugium
1250 @ 2 foot 277 28 w reactorsLeaving about 3000 gallons per hour needed, so the dart/snapper would work.
-
I like that idea. It would be interesting to come up a solution for plumbing to feed some of my other reactors ect. Also not sure I will have the floor space. So let's say the mag is like 115 watts or so. Does mean the equivalent heat of like 100 watt light bulb is added to the water? If it is an external much less heat is added correct? Not mention this is in the garage. Realistically I can tee it off and valve the reactors, they already have valves. Might be easier than I think it sounds.
-
Yeah I realized that about about 11:30 while last night trying to go to sleep. The MP10 won't even handle 3/4" glass. Made the adjustments and 2x mp40's on the way. Now I just need to decide on a return pump. I was thinking a Mag 18. At 5' of head it delivers 1200 Gallons per hour which is 9X turn over for the 130G. The Skimmer has 2x Sicce PSK-1000's which do 880 GPH so they will be able to process all of the overflow.
Oh and probably will be selling 2x MP10's as well the ones I am using on my tank currently.
Looking to sell Whole system or Part it out. 120 Gallon custom aquarium
