  1. It's located on the backside of my tank, which was hard to get to, so i tried to pick it up and move it into a pettish i had from my chem class... and it shrunk into the rock while spewing out brown gunk.

So i went into panic mode and took the whole piece of LR out and dunk it in FW for about 5min.... dont know if it survived, but that sure scared the jests out of me.

BUT i did find two more same looking ones. On the back side of one of my base rocks... doh.gif

Gonna try to move them/LR all together for a close up. Hope it's not Manjo .... hmm.png

  2. I need help ID-ing, this little booger.

Yesterday night sitting on my sand bed, and tonight i found him on the peak of my reef-scape.

It seems to be moving higher up for better light? and near the PH for more water movement?

Just wondering what kind of corals move!?

Sorry about the picture, my camera isn't that HMP to take micro close ups

  3. If the salinity and temperature between the two solution is in close proximity,(+/- ~.001 sal, and +/- 1'F Temp) i see no problem just filling the tank till desire water height.

At least that's what i did and all the button polyp seem to do fine in my tank.

  4. Congrats on the first post!

To answer your question, add more salt to increase salinity.

As for the 2.5cup per 5gal, i found that to be a 'rough' estimate.

Some time you have to add a bit more, or a bit less.

But be wary that adding too much salt at once, can have a delayed measurement. (Takes time for salt to dissolve.)

  5. Well, it is be hard to state firmly when CUC can be introduced.

Because there's no guarantee on the efficiency of your filtration systems, just yet.

I did some reading, cause i just setup my 20L, that it would be plausible to introduce a small crew(1~5member).

Then as more time has pass for your tank to mature, you can then add more CUC and increase your tank's bio load threshold.

Besides, a small crew is more manageable as to a sudden increase in bio load.

Good luck, and don't hesitate to post questions.

    Cheers.

  6. Robb, i mean in no way doubting or offending you, but i would just like to restart fresh, and take things slower this time around.

But thank you so much for your expertise and i'll definitely take your advice to heart.
