I have a no longer made CurrentUSA ballast die today. Should I attempt repairs at a place like Mr. Wizard or suck it up and get a new light kit? advice, please.

I have one Ocellaris (sp) now. Are they not compatible? How many can you even have in one tank? I have a 225 gallon but not sure how to adapt them?
I should add that the reason I'd like to get them out is because once they hatch, they become either food for the other fish or they are sucked into the sump where they perish. They would need a special tank of their own to grow.

beats me! Mine are Ocellaris type if that helps.

I've got two Orange Clownfish who have done what clownfish do, but no place to raise them. In fact, I'm not even sure when they will pop out. So, if you want to harvest the eggs off the live rock to which they are attached, you're welcome to take 'em. I hate to see them just get swept up in the filter or eaten by the other occupants, so these are free for the taking (if that's even feasible). PM me if you're interested. thanks!
more eggs....every 2-3 weeks like clockwork. PM / email me if you want 'em. NW Austin...

This is pretty much a dead end, I know, but is there any reasonable chance for these fish once they hatch if left in the main tank w/other fish, crabs, etc? I posted another msg in the "free to take" forum, so if you want 'em, let me know. Otherwise, if there's a way to keep 'em going w/o buying another tank, please let me know.
thanks.

i'm in, schedule permitting.

they've been there for a day or two, and I'm going to be keeping a close watch. I am skeptical of the rock scraping since this also seems to involve fins though.
btw, i just re-checked my chemistry: calcium is a tad low in the tank, but everything else is ok.

water's normal (hasn't changed much in the last year) and everyone else in the tank is doing fine. I have more algae than I would like, but I can't see a relation.
-
fwiw, there's also some discoloration on his fins.

I have a bi-color blennie that's out of his normal routine and is just laying on his side on the gravel. Pretty much normal appearance, but no swimming. suggestions?

Thanks all,
I'll give Ezra a call.
I used Binswanger on Burnet. They were quick and cheap.

Forgot to mention the dimensions.
48.5" wide
13.5" deep
21.5" tall
these are all exterior dimensions.

Interested.
Would like to see pic.
Thanks
I should also point out that the glass is not scratched or anything like that. Anyway, here are some action photos:

I have a 55-gallon tank for sale. It is a plain-jane tank except that is has two (1.5" or 2" diameter I believe) holes drilled in each of the upper corners. The manifolds are installed but could be sold separately. This would make a decent 'fuge or sump tank but is probably too small for a display tank.
I can send or add a photo if you're interested. I'd like to get $75, but make me an offer.
thanks!
