  1. From their ad it looks like only 10g, 20g High, 20g Long, 29g, and 55g are in the $1/gallon sale. As of this morning, no 20g Long or 55g tanks in stock. Still a good deal if you need any of those standard sizes...

Doesn't look like they carry the 40 breeders there, but if they do, they're not included in the sale.

  2. Do you know what sizes are included in this sale? I may have to go check them out. I've been to a few Petcos in the last week or so and it looks like they're changing tank manufacturers. They're starting to carry Tetra in place of Aqueon. This unfortunately means mostly tempered tanks, including the 40 breeder. Only a problem if you need to drill the tank, but considering how many people here do, thought I'd share that little tidbit.

  3. as long as you placed your order at reef cleaners prior to Monday at 5 pm, it should arrive at dshel1217's house tomorrow. I assume he'll be pm'ing pickup details when it arrives?

Correct the order will be in tomorrow. I will post here when the package gets here probly around 2pm. 9

Brave man, posting personal info on the interwebs like that :)...

  4. Agreed on Circle C and Guerrero for longer courses. Not to hijack thread, but any recommendations for courses in College Station Bpb? I'll be there on business for the next few days, and brought my discs along hoping I'd get an afternoon/evening to try a new course.

  5. Lots of choices available. Zilker is short, easy, can take less than an hour, located centrally; Mary Moore Searight in South Austin is one of my fave short courses but can get crowded; Austin Ridge Bible Church (West Austin, off Bee Cave Road) has a moderate length course that can be quite a hike if you're not ready for it. Up north for a short game I'd recommend Cat Hollow (Brushy Creek Area), Brushy Creek Sports Park for a good 9 holes, Rivery if you're going to be near Georgetown. There's a nice short 18 hole course off of Wells Branch as well, but I can't remember what it's called, not terribly technical. If you're up for longer courses, that's another list.

  6. It's looking like the compressor is overheating, failing to start. It's out of warranty so we had a look around. It seems there's a motor protector sensor clicking it off every time it tries to start the compressor. We could hear the click of the relay and the thermal overload sensor pops as it clicks it off 1-2 seconds later. The compressor is getting really hot really quickly when trying to start up, coils staying room temp, so it's not moving freon. Guess he needs a new chiller, these units don't appear very easily serviceable. Thanks again for all the help and suggestions.

  7. From what I can tell, the fan is coming on but I don't think compressor is. Cool air is blowing through the unit. I would think if working properly the air would be warm at least. So temp just went up a little, guess I need to find something in the interim. still clicking every 15-30 seconds.

  8. it looks like the pump for the chiller system needed a reboot. got the air out of the lines now. when the chiller is working hard, should it be making a popping noise often? it sounds like it keeps tripping a switch still. thanks for the ideas!

  9. So my girlfriend is housesitting for her parents while they are out for the next couple weeks, and last night their chiller seems to have quit on her. JBJ Arctica 1/4 HP on a Red Sea Max 250, I want to say mag 9.5 pump. Since last night, the temperature as shown on the chiller controller has gotten up to 81 degrees from the setting of 77 degrees and the lights haven't even come on yet. Every 30 seconds or so it seems to make a clicking sound then a popping sound, coming from the chiller itself. Anyone have any experience with this? Any local shops work on these things? I can do some basic troubleshooting when I get down there, any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for all the help, sorry I haven't been around much.
