  2. Noooooo! Don’t get Milwaukee!!!.

Trust me, you’ll end up replacing it in less than a year. Bite the bullet and buy a good one, Stainless Steel or get a Carbon Doser.

Basically the 2nd chamber is just another reactor of just media that the effluent goes through before going back to the Tank. Any upflow cylinder equipped with RODI input and output will work. Mine is a PM. There are several on the market.

  3. A GOOD regulator and a pump to feed it or feed from your return. Possibly a secondary chamber after the main to raise the pH back up before it hits the tank. And a Co2 monitor of some type if you’re not running an apex with an extra pH Probe to do so.

  5. How do you like it so far?  Is the programming any different in the newer version?  I went from an ancient reef keeper to the new apex so it’s a huge upgrade for me.  I am very impressed with it.

The programming is the same as the old models. The difference is the individual readouts of power usage for each item, WiFi built in, and the ability to use the newer items coming out soon like trident.

  6. So you're only selling the one EB8 then?

Let me rephrase, I kept all of my extra Eb8s and modules that I still use and pulled one full base setup offline that was replaced by the new model.

So what’s for sale is a full apex classic setup

  7. Do all the outlets work? As in they can all still be toggled on and off? I've had issues with some of their outlets getting stuck in one position.

As far as I know. The EB8 I pulled was the easiest one to pull. I have 3. I can test it to be sure, but this one was controlling CO2, my skimmer, my skimmer neck cleaner, my heaters, and my bio pellet pump so they were all being cycled pretty often.
