So i just set up the tank and sump last night with nothing in the sump or tank yet. just wanted to test everything out and have the water moving. My question is if anyone knows of a way to make the noise calm down some on the drain pipe. It is making a loud suction noise. right now i just put filter floss on the top of the tube and that makes it not so bad but i wanted something more permanent. any ideas would be great! thanks! Stephen

ok cool thanks for letting me know about the tetra. yea when the customer gave me the severum he had a bunch of sores on him and i didnt expect him to make it. but the sores are gone now and he cant get enough of the brine shrimp and mysis. i dont know alot about freshwater i only deal with satwater. and his color is prob gone some in the pic cuz i had just turned on the tank light. -
i have a few freshwater fish that a customer of mine just couldn't care for anymore so i took them in. now i am trying to make my 125g a salt tank and need to find a home for these guys. i have a raphael catfish that is about 5 or 6 in, a regular plecostomus about the same size, 3 emerald cory catfish that are fully grown, a long fin rosy barb that is about 3 in, a bunch of smaller bumblebee cichlids, a brown knife fish, a tetra of some sort, and a really big fish that i have no clue what he is. i am adding pics of all fish. let me know if interested in any of them. thanks! I have an unused 10 gallon Aqueon Kit. it comes with everything in the picture. I have 2 new hoods that you can see in the pic and both come with diff types of bulbs and u can pick what hood u want (also comes with the new bulbs). well with the filter lid open and the feeding lid open the temp is at 82. i know that is a good temp but i want to be able to have it stay that temp without having both lids up. so i started looking and saw the whole rimless and really like the look! just not sure how much money i want to spend on getting the new light or if i wanna mod the lid so much that it fixes the problem.

Hi, i am thinking about making my 29g biocube rimless b/c i am having heat problems and i think it looks better that way. but i am trying to figure out what light to go to. any ideas?
