  1. Since I am GIVING Ralph, my puffer, away for free I have decided to be slightly pickier. I don't have the capability to keep up with several tanks so I am trying to get down to just one.bye.gif

He "grew up" in a 29g Biocube and is pissed off that he's in a 12 now (waiting to move to an 8). He eats from your hand, has a great personality and is always down for some bloodworms. He is pretty passive though and doesn't eat snails...weird I know. Ralph was also bullied by the other puffers I had, so he needs to be in a low aggression tank.

If you have a tank ≥29g, I will deliver him to your house so I can make sure he's going to a good home.

This is what he looks like: http://animal-world.com/encyclo/fresh/Puffers/Images/AmazonPufferWFPu_Ap4AP.jpg

  2. I'm selling my Mac Mini. It's a 2ghz processor, 1gb of ram and a 120gb harddrive. I used it as my media center, but have decided to go with the new AppleTV instead. This computer is only 1.5 years old and would be perfect for any media center or as a younger child's first computer. It comes with a wired mouse. I just don't need it anymore.

I still have the original packaging and install DVD's. Photos are available upon request. This post is on craigslist too. I knocked $25 off for reef club members.

  3. Ok, so I just got back from dinner at a friend's house and Dave has pooped a lot, but cleaned the crap outta that front rock. Pun intended. It was covered when I left. At least I won't have to feed him while I'm on vacation.

  4. I'm reluctant to say it looks like he could suck the chrome off a hitch, but he sucks the rock and a small white circle of clean rock appears. It's awesome. Mollies are technically brakish water fish, but given the option they'd prefer saltwater to fresh. I slowly poured salt water into his bag and swished it around. 10 minutes later I just plucked him out of that bag and off he went cleaning my tank.

You can get them anywhere, but Aquatek has them for $4. I like the shape of balloon mollies. They're fat. It amuses me.

  5. I had a red slime breakout in my tank.dry.gif I guess that's what it was. It looked like velvety reddish brown algae. I was going to bomb it with ChemiClean, but I thought I'd also put a balloon molly in. I have an 8 gallon tank with 2 peppermint shrimp, an emerald crab and 5 snails. The molly is going to TOWN. I haven't even bombed it yet and I don't think I will. I'll post pictures later.

  6. I just bought a new emerald crab today from Aquatek, but I didn't realize how big he was until I put him in my 8 gallon tank.doh.gif He is a monster, but would be great for a 100+ tank. I'm just worried he might get a little rough with the peppermint shrimp I have in there and there's not a lot of hiding space to get away from him. He's like the size of a half dollar. If anybody has a smaller one and would like a bigger one, let's make an even swap! I can send photos if interested.

My other emerald crab was murdered last night by a hermit crab. That mofo had to go.

  7. I'm changing focus in my freshwater tank and am selling 3 of the 4 SA puffers. They are doing what they do, but unfortunately on of my fish got in the way and was bullied a bit while I was out of town.hmm.png They are a schooling fish but the one I'm keeping doesn't hang out with them anyway.

3 for $50 or maybe a trade. I'm open to discussion.

  8. I'm looking for a 90g with stand, lights (2 bulb set is ideal), canopy, filter, heater and possibly a powerhead and UV sterilizer. I wanna convert my 29 biocube to a nano reef tank and upgrade the freshwater guys. I know it's a lot to ask, but the closer I get to it, the better.

    THANKS!!!wave.gif

  9. My wife is selling her GPS.

My husband got a new car with a built- in GPS. I'm getting his old GPS and selling mine....

I'm selling my Garmin Nuvi 200 with it's car mount in almost new condition! It's a great GPS, I've never had an issue with it. I LOVE it!

The Garmin Nuvi 200 is the perfect travel companion; it's small, sleek and easy to use! The Garmin GAX10908 Portable Dash Mount is a great mounting option if you want to move the GPS from vehicle to vehicle. I love taking this set up with me on vacation and put it in my rental car. The weighted, rubberized bottom sits securely on the dash and doesn't move around.

The GPS frame is a pink/rose color and comes with car adapter/power cord.

Email me if you're interested- $75 for GPS and Dash Mount

    Thanks!

  10. Cool. I promised my wife I wouldn't even THINK about getting a new tank until after we get back from Puerto Rico in August.

Do you think I still need a heater if the lights are going to be causing heat? I have one now that keeps the tank at 80, so it's not that big of a deal. I was just curious.

See you at the frag swap.

  11. I would like to consider looking into lights and maybe an extra RO tank to help with top offs. Since I already have a 29g Biocube, I'm good to go I guess. Just gotta move the freshwater stuff to a different tank. Will you be at the frag swap?
