Im just starting my reef tank out, I haven't even put water in it yet, and I thought I would join to learn whats new from the last time when I had it set up. The last time my tank was set up for a reef tank was about 7 years ago and I have reciently found that things are very different from then. I am useing a 45 gallon breeder tank with a canister and a wet-dry filter and I will be adding a skimmer next week (before I add water to the tank). I am planning on using a light that has both the MH and tubes with a total wattage of about 250watts and this will give me just over 5.5 watts per gal. Anyway, if anybody has some advice for me I would love to hear it.
