  1. *REDUCED PRICES 3/31/11*

I'm helping another member (Christian14) close down his tank. He lives out in Taylor and didn't want to deal with meeting people in and out of town, so he brought me everything.

    SO..............

    FISH

These fish have been in his tank for 1+ years and all eat frozen mysis/sinking pellets/flake cyclopeeze. They are also pest/disease free. Unlike the fresh caught fish you'll end up with from elsewhere, these guys will survive in your tank!

    Sixline Wrasse - ~2" - $10

    SOLD Royal Gramma - ~2" - $10 SOLD

SOLD True Perc clownfish w/ green striped mushroom rock - $50 - (s)he hosts these mushrooms and LOVES them, so we would prefer to sell them as a pair. The Clown is ~2" long and the mushroom rock has over 40 green stripe mushrooms on it. (s)he lays down on them to go to sleep at night. Great for someone who wants a hosting clown without the risk of an anemone stinging your other corals. SOLD

    CORALS

SOLD Large Frogspawn - Larger Than Softball Sized - Green w/ Purple Tips - 7+ heads- $50 SOLD

    img8372s.th.jpg

Bright Green Candycane Colony - Softball Size ~75 heads - $90

    img8340u.th.jpg

SOLD Large Zoa Colony w/ mushrooms - Bright Orange 'Takeover Zoas' - Larger than Grapefruit w/ blue striped mushrooms - $50 SOLD

    img8353h.th.jpg

Pulsing Xenia Colony from above pic - 15/ea$ - Attached to rock.

Loose 'Takeover Zoa' Colony from bottom of above pic - 40-60 heads - $20

SOLD Zoa Colony - 'Fire and Ice' - around 60 zoas in a loose colony. These need to color up as the lighting they were under was no good. Different centers from the 'takeover zoas' . $35 SOLD

    img8358v.th.jpg

    Misc GSP / Mushroom / Xenia rocks - $10-$30

Tonga Rock w/ GSP - $15 - This would make a great center piece of your tank, nice branch of tonga covered in bright green GSP / purple Mat. You can get some GSP color in your tank without worrying about it taking over neighboring rocks, if you stand it up in the center of the tank.

    Red Monticap Colony on Rock - $25 About 5" x 4"

    img8389ul.th.jpg

There are also a few pieces from my own tank I'd like to offer

    up...

    Clove Polyp Rock - $40 - SOLD

This rock has about 100+ 4-5" tall clove polyps on it. They are not invasive like xenia, I just want room for SPS. I've had them for 18 months and they've stayed on this one rock. The rock is about 8" long and 5-6" wide.

SOLD Blue Paly Rock - This is actually a Monti skeleton that the blue palys took over. 4"x5" - $15 SOLD

    Normal Lighting - img8338.th.jpg

    Actinics Only - img8339w.th.jpg

Pulsing Pink PomPom Xenia - $5 per bunch.

  2. Wa1tx, it would be great if you could pick up my order for me.

I live off Parmer/1431 and could meet you anywhere up North after 6. Give me a call if you're cool with this so we can figure out logistics.

Kim, PM me so we can work out monies! I appreciate you putting in this order for everyone.

  3. I've got the large Aquafuge on my 55gal w/ no sump. I've been happy with it so far, it grows chaeto and pods like crazy.

Can't say that I've seen a huge difference in the DT from it, but I know that the Chaeto has to be pulling lots of nitrates, and its an awesome safe breeding ground for the pods that my target mandarin needs.

However, I only paid 30$ for a used one including the pump, and got my light for only $15, so it was a small investment. I don't know that I would feel it was worth the $175+ they go for brand new without a light.

  4. Kim;

Who all ended up getting their order placed?

Once we find out the ship date, we can work on seeing if someone wants to pickup for us northerners.

I live in Cedar Park, right at 1431/Parmer, and work at Braker/183. I don't get off until 6pm, but am available all night on Thurs.

  5. Jeremy's tank is one of the nicest SPS dominated tanks I've personally seen. All his corals are extremely healthy and vivid, with AMAZING polyp extension.

His prices cant be beat for the specimens you are getting either.

Worth the drive to see his tank and get a great deal.

I've been meaning to shoot you a txt lately J, just to see how everything's going. Since I replaced my lights at Christmas, both the Pearlberry and the Green Slimer have taken off!

  6. I've setup my wife with a small 5.5gal freshwater tank. The tank is 16" long. I am looking for a small light to put over it, instead of the CFL in a clamp-on we have now. We are planning on doing a planted tank, so something with a little wattage would be great. Possibly Normal Output T5? Looking to spend about 15$ on the right light. (Jeremy I know you have the one I really want, but I'm looking for cheap right now!)

    Thanks,

    Chris

  7. Just wondering if anyone has a skimmer cup for a Tunze Nano (9002) Skimmer.

I know I can buy one from Tunze for about $20 including lid.

Wanted to see if anyone had an old broken nano and no longer needed the cup.

Would trade a few small corals, or pay $10?

    Thanks!

  8. I received this skimmer with some other stuff I purchased hoping I would be able to use it In Tank, but I am not going to be able to get it to work for my tank.

It is an older model DOC Classic 9210 that runs great. The person I bought it from had it on a 190 gallon Predator tank and said it kept his water clean! He purchased it ~4 or so years ago and only used it for one year. It was cleaned and put up in a closet until I recently purchased it.

You can Google 'Tunze DOC Classic 9210' for some sites that sell them.

    Specifications:

    • Recommended for aquariums up to 1,000 liters (264 gal)
    • Dimensions: 11"L x 6.1"W x 9.2"H
    • Installation Depth: Approximately 2.3" to 3.5"
    • Air capacity: 650 l/h (171 gal./h)
    • Power consumption: 21W

I am looking for a Tunze 9005/9006 or similar model, or a high quality HOB skimmer. I want the tunze 9005/6 because I can use it In-Tank. I do not have a sump at this time.

I ran it overnight in a bucket of tank water, and poured in a little bit of skimmate from one of my tanks and it immediately foamed up. This morning it had pulled 100ml of skimmate and the water looked clear. I again added a small amount of skimmate from one of my tanks and it immediately foamed up again.

This is an awesome skimmer and I wish I could get it to work for my application.

I'm not looking to sell for cash moneys, unless the price will get me the skimmer I need for my tank. Hopefully someone will have what I am looking for, but want to upgrade to a in-sump skimmer.

PM me, lets make a deal!

  9. I tried using insulin needles with aip-x, but it is too thick to go through the superfine needles.

Ive used plenty of aip-x around non-ornamental sponges with no ill effects. But as long as you are careful with it you can easily hit just the aiptasia without making a mess. If you hit them right they shrink right up and don't expel anything, just melt.

If you haven't already bought the JJ and want to try some aip-x shoot me a PM I have plenty and can let you have some and borrow a syringe.

However, I do endorse peppermint shrimp for smaller aiptasia, and to help keep them in check. In my experience they wont touch the larger ones, but really help eliminate smaller ones.
