Enron come to mind And no, I don't hang out in the back behind businesses. Glad to hear they are working without permits.
I do hope they open as I am excited as everyone else to have aquariums of this magnitude in Austin!
-
From what I understand they haven't even acquired the proper permits to begin construction. I find this interesting as I keep getting advertisements in the mail offering an annual pass at 50% off for the NW Austin location. However, I never see construction or anyone at the NW location (I live close by) . Doesn't it seem odd to take money from people for a business that hasn't even opened it's doors OR began construction? All the death rates aside - this is an issue for all to consider.
I hope that Austin Aquarium comes clean, gets the proper permits and opens those doors to some awesome aquatic life!! One can dream

ew! I found two of those colossal bristle worms in one of my tanks recently and they wound up in the driveway basking in the sunlight

Bump - $60 /2 eyes

I've had one in my 90g for a couple of years now and he seems to be doing just fine (he's about 4-41/2"). In fact, he's become the more aggressive of the fish in the tank. I also have a Naso Tang and Yellow Tang in with him. He used to beat up on the Naso when I first got it but they all seem to be living in harmony now.
I'd keep it He truly is a beautiful fish!

Got bristled the other day by one of a similar size - my finger swelled up like a sausage I was moving some rocks around and didn't even notice it under the rock at first until my finger started feeling like it had a thousand cactus needles in it. Sure enough - several hundred small bristles were in my finger. Later that evening my finger began to turn red and swell. After a healthy dose of benadryl and the use cortizone on the site for two days it cleared up. I think they are good for cleaning when they are VERY small. If they are bigger than an inch and I can catch them with tweezers - then they wind up in my driveway basking in the sun.
