tennisjad3 Posted May 15, 2017 Share Posted May 15, 2017 Hi All, I did a deep clean on my tank the other day and now my little protein skimmer is acting up. Usually it just sucks out all the gunk and foams it up. Usually takes a few days for the little cup to fill up on top of it with gunk. However, since the clean the skimmer just sucks up water and foams it over and begins overflowing in a few minutes. The water that gets foamed up and trapped is crystal clear like the tank water, so I'm not sure whats going on. Anyone have any experience with this. My tank looks cleaner than it's ever been, but I don't believe a current lack of junk to suck up would cause the skimmer to do this?
