I need a ball and chain to keep my large nem in place. Seems to be crawling over every mushroom and other soft corals in my tank.  Needs to be nem and reef safe.

Found all  the parts except he lid. Since its a 5 gallon salt bucket you can use that lid or leave  it uncovered.

It would be a thought if it was by itsself however I dont want to add fluconozole to my system. I have a good balance right now in the main tank and dont want to mess with it

There is an increase in nuisance algae. I have rock attached ulva which is new to my tank and some bryopsis.  Since the tank has only snails They wont eat the stuff. In the big tank the critters and fish make sure its cleaned up. I am not sure what to do in this tank. I never had hermits, just to eat algae. I dont know if they eat the stuff or not.  I dont think there is enough to support a tux urchin.  Maybe I will ask at the dome tomorrow, unless someone has suggestions.

New Issue in over fed tank. Even though its plumbed to the 600 I am getting some while film growing under rock edges. Its about 1/4 inch long . Likes the dark I guess.  I think it could be bacteria. Any idea besides feeding less what might help curtail it?

I got it to open sort of.  The bottom half is open. I pointed a power head at the bottom. Its on low. After 2 hours it opened.

First you need to find a always open solenoid the the tubing will fit into. Then you need a sensor pad and something for the sensor to report to, which will shut off the solenoid.. I dont have time to look for a cheap solution today. But im sure there is something out there.

Ok here is 2 pictures. As you can see the yellow has open polyps and the red does not. After feeding some stuff does stick to the base of where they open but they just wont open.

I had a credit with Aquarium Depot and got Gorgonians, a yellow and a red. After 3 days the red is not opening its polyps. Its right next to the yellow now, which is open a lot. I did move it after day 2 just in case it was in a bad spot. I feed this tank 2x a day. It has my other NPS . I feed frozen rotifers, cyclops, reef roids, oysterfeast and phytofeast along with some bigger stuff for the sun corals and rock nems. It does not really seem to have any waxy coating on it that it needs to shed. Any ideas or how long it can go with out some sort of food or  what else i can do?  I asume its an NPS type as stated by AQ.

I like socks. I would have a new pair for every day of the week. I also run them in my tank. It does keep stuff from collecting in my sump, which I dont need to clean. I think either way you go you will have to clean something.

Humble fish has confirmed that you can eliminate velvet with TTM if done within 36 hours.

I am doing the TTM plus .

The Plus is the new 36 hour TTM for a few times to eliminate Velvet.

Friday -Next morning 7AM  over to  new tank because of a bacterial bloom.
Day 2 - 1st transfer at 36 hours Sat. 7pm
Day 4 - 2nd transfer at 36 hours Monday 7am
Day 5 - 3rd transfer at 36 hours
Day 7 - 4th transfer at 36 hours
Day 10 - 5th transfer at 71 hours
Day 13 - 6th transfer at 71 hours

Also dosing Prazi Pro at 6 and 13 days and will feed Metroplex a few days

Everyone is ok but me

Yellow tang, Kole Eye tang, Emperor angelfish, Banded butterfly or Sailfin tang. Im not sure which. I did not pick them out so was not paying any attention to what it was. I didnt look at the price either. Its small so hard to tell. Plus it hides a lot unless the lights are out.
