+Dena
I got a bag of this stuff with a freshwater aquarium I bought. The aquarium has the same stuff in it and is fine. Question is, can I use this for a salt water set up. It's 3M Colorquartz Ceramic-Coated Crystals...Grade S...ingredients are: Quartz, Sodium Based Glass and Pigments which could be any of the following: Carbon Black, Chromium (III) Oxide and/or Cobalt Pigments. This stuff is nice and black and I'd like to mix it in with my black live sand when I convert over to the Solana. The black live sand is more gray and I like the darker look of this. Any ideas? chark
I would not add anything that has metals in it to my reef. Also, I would not add anything that has a coating that might come off. Corals and fish are very sensitive to toxic substances.
