chrisfowler99
She's only going to help with the primer. I'll smooth out any drips at that point. I'll be doing the main coat myself.

chrisfowler99
Ball's been rolling. Had to make some modifications to the stand first. Hard for me to do any work during the week in the evenings. I've cleared out more space, so I'll have more room...hopefully there will be more time too. No matter how quickly I go, lights won't be here for another four weeks or so...

Hopefully I'll be quick enough that I can start my cycle without lights...maybe finish it up with lights.

chrisfowler99
Might take you up on it...I'd have to find some other bulbs, though. I'll be getting bulbs with the fixture, so I don't want to buy some wasted bulbs. I haven't figured out, yet, if I really need lights for the full cycle. Seems to be some disagreement on that. Seems to be some disagreement on that. 2 x 6500k is better than no light at all I am one of the ones that believes it isn't MANDATORY to have lights to cycle..but I do believe it helps (if with nothing else the ability to see what is going on..but a lot of the "freebie" hitchhikers like light esp the little corals I would be 5 corals shorter if I had cycled my daughter's tank w/o lights.) a tank with out a light is like a tank without water........oh wait...sorry
chrisfowler99
Boo! Yean...2 lights is better than none. You're right about that. I just may hit you up for those. I do have a 4x 48" PC light...but only a single actinic light works...and it only covers 24".
