caferacermike
If I wasn't already moving 3 200g tanks tomorrow I'd offer to help. Attaching screen? Velcro tape.
jsr
Are you trying to keep the jumpers in the tank? Velcro might work, but I think the moisture would kill the tape over time. Are staples out of the question? I will be in SA tomorrow so I cant hep, but thought I would offer some advice. James

James i was going to suggest staples...but they rust from being in the same ZIPCODE of a saltwater aquarium. what I would do is the following drill 4 holes in the hood (1 for each corner of the screen...add more in the middle for support if desired) glue/epoxy a nylon stud in each hole make associated holes in screen for each stud screen placed on studs nylon wing nut put on stud to hold screen tada

Rust never crossed my mind. Heck, even hot glue may work if you have a rough surface to attach the screen.
caferacermike
Any chance of building a proper frame for the screen material? Only costs about $15 and takes maybe 5 minutes to make a custom window screen. Then you'd have a rigid aluminum frame to attach to just about anything you'd like. I could help build the frame on Sunday.

SURE.....if you wanna do it the RIGHT way but yeah the right way is really easy...I helped a neighbor re-create a window screen for a weird curved custom window....the hardest part is dragging it out long enough to finish a six pack...guess you could just drink faster
+ACampbell
I appreciate all the ideas! I like the idea of being able to easily remove the screen if needed. Let's do the frame on Sunday.
chrisfowler99
I'd volunteer, but my wife's working and I've got my daughter all weekend.
JimD
If you're not dead set on screen, you can always try eggcrate or light diffusors to reduce jumping, its plastic and rigid so no need for a frame.
Cool Breeze
I think you should use a plasma screen.
chrisfowler99
I think you should use a plasma screen. I've got a 60" that I'll let go for...um...$5k.
