chrisfowler99
I just picked up a 75 gallon setup (thanks Nurse Nini!) that came with what I have identified as a Mag 9.5b pump, which seems like a good one. The only thing that concerns me is that it's got a date of 07/04 on the bottom...so it's 5 1/2 years old. Is that old or young in pump years? fishypets
I had a mag that ran for three years with no problems. Come to think of it I've never seen one go out. They're just very noisy and run hot.
prof
Forever. Just take it apart and make sure the impeller is in good shape. You can always replace the impeller if needed.
